La Gang Violence

Refran: "From being brave to being in a grave"

Card Description: For my first loteria card I painted a mother with her thee kids. Under I painted her again with 3 different objects to represent her children. First a tombstone second handcuffs and third two rifles. This is meant to represent the affect of gang violence on a family. The first represents the death of a son who was killed in a shooting which he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. The second represents the second child being in prison after crimes involved with gangs. The last one represents the last child which is still involved in gangs.
